  • In 1960 this HMS Bounty was built as an ocean-fairing vessel for the movie."Mutiny On The Bounty". Bounty also starred in "Sponge Bob Square Pants" and "Pirates of the Caribbean II". The helm is the original from the 1935 Clark Gable version of the "Mutiny On The Bounty"<br />

The image was captured while moored in St. Petersburg, FL.<br />
<br />
On October 29, 2012 the Bounty sank of the coast of North Carolina during Hurricane Sandy. She was enroute from Connecticut to St. Petersburg. The captain and a female crew member lost their lives, fourteen survived.

  • There are a number of Iguanas at The Dolphin Research Center (DRC) in Grassy Key FL. They are not native to the Florida Keys.<br />
To help control their populations on the islands the center works with a local veterinarian who neuters the animals free of charge. <br />
This one seemed to be the true Alpha of the bunch although it seems a couple other Iguanas think differently. This one was probably  2’-2.5’ foot in length and didn’t seem bothered by anything. The same can’t be said for some of the visitors which were more than willing to get out of its way.
